A story of Rebbetzin Shterna Sara
During the war, the Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of Poland suffered a lot financially. They just didn’t have enough money. One of the plans they made was to cut back on the food they provided for their students for breakfast, lunch and supper.

When the students realized that barely any food was being offered, they made a strike and they said it’s better not to go in the lunchroom then receive the small amount of food they are serving.

Soon the whole town was talking about the students not eating anything and starving in school.

On the 2nd morning of the hunger strike, Rebbetzin Shterna Sara called those in charge to a meeting. She told them she understood that money was tight but “YOU ARE WITHOLDING FOOD FROM MY CHILDREN?”

From then on, the Rebbe’s and Rebbetzin’s children were fed properly.

The lesson we learn from this story
This story applies to me, you and all the shluchim as we reflect on the work and dedication of the Shluchim Office in applying the words of Rebbetzin Shterna Sara to provide us, the Rebbe’s children with “Food for the Neshama”.

They work tirelessly to ensure that not only do we have plenty of spiritual food and nourishment but also that it should be spiced with fun, creativity, warmth and most importantly the right measurement of Chassidishkeit.

Thank you Shlcuhim office for going above and beyond to make sure that we the shluchim, the Rebbe’s children don’t go hungry in our mokom hashlichus where proper “food for our neshama”- “chinuch”, is not available.
