Four Main Islands: Hokkaido, Honshu, Kyushu and Shikoku 100 Miles off the Asian mainland Japan stretches over 2,360 miles, so the people enjoy climatic variety Superimposed on eastern United States, Japan stretches from central Maine to Florida.
