6 This is a life size model of The Liver Bird. It is the symbol for Liverpool Football Club. There is a picture of the Liver Bird on the official football shirts.

7 ‘The Catholic Cathedral’ The Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ The King was opened in May 1967 and was designed by Frederick Gibberd and Edwin Lutyens. It is a prominent building on Liverpool’s skyline.

8 Liverpool Cathedral of Diocese of Liverpool is The Church of England Cathedral. Designed by Giles Gilbert Scott. Built from 1904-1978.

9 Walker Art Gallery The building was funded by the Liverpool brewer Andrew Barclay Walker who donated £20,000. The building took 3 years to build and was opened in 1877.

10 Liverpool FC was formed in 1892 playing at Anfield after Everton FC moved from the ground to Goodison Park. They joined the football league in 1893.

11 St George’s Hall Designed by Harvey Lonsdale Elmes who died before its completion. Building work started 1842 and the hall opened to the public in 1854. It contained a criminal court and halls for concerts. Recently voted finest building in Europe.
