9 Instructional Videos The Script The Script VIDEOAUDIO 1.LS JANET and JOHN are walking down an old logging road in the woods. 2.CU Janet. 3.DISSOLVE TO LS A scene in the park with a banner that says "Happy Birthday Great-Grandma Schmidt." There is a pickup softball game going on in the BG and people setting up for a big picnic in the FG. 4.MS Janet proudly carries a large birthday cake to the picnic table and places it in front of Grandma as the others gather around. 5.WIPE TO The same scene in a torrential downpour. The banner is drooping and the field is empty. QUIET MUSIC AND NATURAL SFX: JOHN: Maybe we should hold it outdoors. That way we wouldn't have to rent a hall to accommodate all those people. JANET: (enthusiastically) That's a great idea! We could do it as a picnic in the park just down the street from her house. JOHN: (off-screen) Yeah! We could get up a family softball game, just like in the old days. JANET: And at the end bring out a big birthday cake. CLAP OF THUNDER NARRATOR: (off-screen) But that's not quite the way it happened. Not only did it rain, but lightning struck the bakery and destroyed the fabulous eight-layer cake.
