ResQmax Line Deployment Kit -ResQmax Launcher- 5 nozzle protectors -2 Streamline Projectiles- O-ring kit -500’ 3mm line with container- Corrosion block -300’ 8mm line with container- Operations manual -SCBA fill hose- 6 projectile covers -1 Carry bag
Key Components Launcher Container 1 large & 1 small Carry/storage bag Projectiles with coversSCBA filler hose & accessories
Valve Key Safety Key Components
Technical Specifications Projectile operating pressure is 3,000 psi Small container- 500’ of white Dacron line, 3mm in diameter, 500# test and specific gravity of >1. – Does this line float or sink? Large container- 300’ of yellow polyspectra line, 8mm in diameter, 2200# test and specific gravity of <1. – Does this line float or sink?
Safety!!!! Max. operating pressure not to exceed 20% of normal operating pressure. – Normal operating pressure = 3000 psi – Max. operating pressure = 3600 psi Any visible damage to the projectile is cause for immediate replacement. Try to avoid “hot filling” the projectile. Inspect projectile after every use.
Safety continued Only compressed air is to be used in the projectile Projectiles may be stored with a charge in them. – A constant temperature environment is recommended. – Projectile should be marked as charged. – Periodic check of pressure to verify that operating pressure is being maintained.
Filling the projectile In the middle picture, the five adaptors are used for filling other compressed air sources. These adaptors are not included with this kit.
Filling the projectile continued Attach female end of filler hose to a full SCBA bottle. Ensure that “valve key” is in the open position. Attach the spring loaded collar onto the projectile. Open the SCBA bottle SLOWLY and fill projectile to 3200 psi.
Filling the projectile continued Once projectile is full (3200 psi) turn off SCBA. Turn “valve key” to the off position. Locate red handled bleed screw and drain the pressure in the filler hose assembly. Retract the spring loaded collar and remove filler hose assembly from the projectile.
Deployment of the ResQmax Attach line container to the barrel. Insert projectile into the barrel Secure the lines to the projectile and the barrel.
Deployment of the ResQmax Cont. Fully depress the valve key in the vertical position and rotate the valve key 90 degrees clockwise to the horizontal position. Release the valve key. Check the pressure gauge to verify pressure.
Deployment of the ResQmax Cont. Push the safety knob to the “off” position. Hold the butt of the folding stock against your shoulder. Aim at a 35 degree angle OVER the victim/objective. Squeeze the trigger and hold the ResQmax steady as the projectile leaves the launcher.
Packing the line container Each line has a dedicated “dead end” and “live end”
Packing the line container Hold container vertically with the door open towards you. Allow 12” of the dead end to hang freely outside of the right side of the container. Begin pushing rope into the container hand over hand.
Packing the line container Once all rope is in container, leave “live end” outside of container. Close the container door leaving the “live end” sticking out on the left side and the “dead end” sticking out on the right side. Secure the cut away pin on the “live end” into the top of the container through the elastic retaining loop.
