Goals of OMA To bring together Montessori professionals, parents of students in Montessori schools, and all people interested in early childhood education. To improve understanding and cooperation among teachers, parents, and the community. To stimulate professional attitudes and ethical conduct and maintain the standards of our profession. To further our understanding of children and their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical needs. To develop greater public understanding of and support for the essence of Montessori philosophy and method, and to cooperate with other groups within the state to promote the welfare of children. To provide workshops and other programs for the continuing education of OMA members and all interested in Montessori education.
