3 About Eurasia EI Knowledge Hub The Hub was established in September 2010 Co-owned by RWI and Khazar University, Baku Aims at capacity building on extractive industries (oil & gas and mining) in Eurasia region Hub is located in Baku, Azerbaijan 3 Eurasia Extractive Industries Knowledge Hub

6 2011 project year activities February 2011 – Value Chain core course “Hydrocarbon and Minerals - from extraction to sustainable development” Attendees -15 civic society members from Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan The training language was Russian 6 Eurasia Extractive Industries Knowledge Hub

7 May EITI auxiliary course 22 members of CSO’s, media, parliament, government and company representatives from Bulgaria, Albania, Afghanistan, Georgia, Indonesia, Ukraine, Turkey and Tajikistan were attended The training language was English 2011 project year activities 7 Eurasia Extractive Industries Knowledge Hub
