1. The Russells enjoyed one outing of golf while in Australia, at the North Ryde Golf Course, about 5 miles west of our Courtyard Hotel. The weather was cloudy and spitting, but most of the time, it held up until we finished a fun round of golf.

2. The well decorated putting green near the clubhouse.

3. The few other golfers we saw (not many) walked the course; it was a very nice day for a round of golf—cooler than normal.

4. The course was “semi- private,” but pretty well groomed. Nice fairways and decent greens.

5. The course was challenging, but not too difficult; the trees did manage to block a few shots.

6. Most fairways had nice paths and some were decorated with flowers.

7. A couple of “wise quackers” came out to greet us.

9. Greens were flanked by sand traps, well placed to suck up your shot.

11. A unique tree (sans bark) grabbed Bob’s attention; the close-up above shows an insect enjoying the day.

13. Some nice grasses were planted at various parts of the course.

14. Pretty waxy flowers adorned a few plants.

15. Back at the clubhouse, Bob and Judy had a very nice lunch after a good day on the links.
