Your Opportunity… Awards – 2 teams of 2 faculty from distinct/ interdisciplinary majors Stipend Part I (Spring 2005) - $ per faculty– development & preparation Stipend Part II - $ per faculty– upon completion of collaborative effort
What is Required? Collaborate with a faculty member from a cross disciplinary major Develop and implement the course in (Dean’s approval) Distribute evaluations Attend end-of-year awards ceremony
The Proposal (3 pages) I. The intended courses – Summarize objectives How community service will enhance objectives? Copies of both syllabi II.The community service – What type of organization? What kind of work? How will it benefit everyone? How will you develop community relationship? How help students understand significance of their participation?
Wrapping Up the Proposal III.Reflection – How will you incorporate reflection in the class? How will the students share their reflections with one another and the other class? IV.Innovation – Describe goals and activities Plan for collaboration How will the collaboration benefit the organization?
