October 2005 VPF annex B, Proposal to Industry n The Annex B could be a by-product of VPF data production system software development. –There is a requirement & market for a VPF solution –There are many VPF reading legacy systems –A NATO GMWG endorsed Annex B is necessary n GMWG to specify VPF requirement –How much of the S-57 capability can we concede –Define an acceptable, pragmatic level of functionality in light of experience gained –Build on the work of the HIHWG and continue into the AML & TOD content models as recommended by IDON. n The company or industry consortium which develops the system and annex B is first to market following GMWG endorsement
