Where are things? Non-Fiction Located on the left side of the circulation desk Biographies Left back wall Magazines New-In front of brick column Old-Back wall on the right of the library. Reference Behind large brick column & on right back wall Fiction Located on the right side of the circulation desk
How may I use the computers? Computers are for student research. The Athena program helps you find resources in our library Use the internet to research assigned topics Computers are not for: IM, , games, general searches, general browsing
May I make copies? Copies may be made at the cost of 10 cents per page. The copier only works with dimes or nickels. If in doubt ask for help. Copyright is a form of protection provided by the laws of the United States Copyright Act generally gives the owner of materials the exclusive right to do and to authorize others to do the following:to reproduce, distribute copies,perform the work publicly,display the copyrighted work.
How many books may I check out? Generally we allow students 2 books out at a time. We have a limited number of materials on certain topics, this rule gives each student the opportunity to have access to the materials. Exceptions: Seniors who have a research paper due may check out more than 2 resources. Reference materials may not be checked out.

What do I do now? If you can’t find what you need, just ask. We have assistants that can help and if they can’t answer your question feel free to come ask Mrs. Bemis or Mrs. Urban. We want your media visit to be a pleasant experience. Remember you will need media skills long after you leave high school. If you become familiar here it won’t be so daunting in college.
