b Why are manual telecoils so important? Allows accessibility to work phones, FM/loop systems (for work- meetings, teachers with hearing loss and many other settings). Without manual tcoils, aids are limited to only the current programs on the hearing aids (limiting use of other assistive technology later on)

19 Technology Worth Talking About Stethoscope Use with BTE Hearing Aids
Stethoscope Options- Stethoscope Use with BTE Hearing Aids Some behind the ear hearing aid models have direct audio input or silhouette capabilities that allow for direct interface with stethoscopes that have output jacks such as the Cardionics E-Scope II. Users of DAI cords and silhouettes should work closely with an audiologist, as the quality of the sound output from the hearing aid may be inadequate to properly diagnose heart/lung sounds. Headphones can also be placed over BTE hearing aids. Photo courtesy of BeyondHearingAids.com

20 Technology Worth Talking About
Stethoscope Options- Stethoscope Use with CIC/ITE Hearing Aids Stethoscopes can be used with completely in the canal (CIC) and in the ear (ITE) hearing aids by interfacing through headphones. Custom made special ear molds are also an option. Stethomate ear tips can also be used, they replace the hard plastic ear tips found on most stethoscopes.

50 SONY ENTERTAINMENT ACCESS GLASSES
Outfitted with small projectors on each side, these glasses display green text captions, directly onto the glasses. Users are able to change the brightness of the captions, the size, and the angle at which they appear, in order to get the best view possible. An audio jack is also attached that can transmit assistive audio, or an auditory description of the screen, for the visually impaired. The glasses also support 3D capability, to eliminate the need for a second pair of glasses for 3D feature films.
