2 As we begin each new school year, let us remember the fine nuances and the distinguishing essence of that proud word Teacher. Let us be reminded of the tools you have at your command, because of your talents, your traits and your training…and because you chose to become a Teacher. 3 Assistance & Expectations NEXTBACK Electronic Registrar Online Professional Development Office: ERO-Ms. Llamas, , Mrs. Lopez, , Mrs. Benavides, , Americans with Disabilities Act: Individuals that are in need of accommodations as identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act, please notify Mrs. Benavides, , at least two weeks prior to the Refreshments: Beverages will be provided at each district professional development site between 7:20-7:55 A.M. Professional Dress: Adherence to the UISD Dress & Grooming Standards, DH Regulation, for all Professional Development Days DH Regulation is required. Click here to view DH Regulation. A sweater/light jacket is recommended, as temperatures vary from room to room. Expectations: 1.Please be prompt. 2.Turn off cellular phones, please no text messaging. 3.Participate actively and positively. 4. Maximize the learning experience. Please wear your UISD Identification Tag. ERO registration is required. ERO registration opens on July 19, 2010, at 8:30 A.M. and will close on August 13, 2010, at midnight. 1.Through ERO, CPE Credit will be awarded and attendance will be documented. 2.In order to receive CPE Credit, you must attend the session that you ERO registered for. 3.The ERO Waiting List will not be honored. 4. ERO user name is your employee identification number. 5. ERO password is the last four digits of your social security number. 6. ERO will provide notifications via your UISD address. 7. After you evaluate the session(s), provide your principal with a copy of your ERO Certificate(s). 3
