3 3 Media and Support ASEC and CFA hosted the annual media teleconference to kick-off the Week. 96 media outlets (newspapers, radio, TV, blogs, and Web site postings) featured stories on the event. Congressional Resolution in support of the Week introduced by Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX). Proclamations from Governors in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and Washington Statements of support from: Social Security Administration Commissioner, Michael J. Astrue FDIC Chairman, Shelia Bair Comptroller of the Currency, John C. Dugan Federal Reserve Board Chairman, Ben Bernanke

4 4 EBRI/ASEC Participation in ASW ‘10 66 ASEC Partners and EBRI Members participated in America Saves Week 2010, including almost all of the ASEC Policy Board members. ASEC participated in three outreach events during the Week: Military Saves Week Financial Readiness Fair at the Pentagon, SEC Financial Education Fair, and Black America Saves’ event at Howard University. Financial capability outreach to over 650 individuals during ASW ’10.
