By putting GOD first in life, When I was hired by Sheriff Prince Arnold in 1979 there was 12 murders pre year. In 2009 there was no murder. I have worked for the Sheriff Office for over 30 years. Candidate For Sheriff Earnest “Chief” Evans Drug Interdiction Program The Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies will aggressively work to identify, target, and neutralize known drug operations and those individuals trafficking drugs into, out of, and through our county. Crime Prevention Program Residents will be able to call the Sheriff's Office and with the assistance of the Sheriff and/or a deputy, receive advice on making themselves, their homes and property more resistant to crime and theft. Traffic Safety Program Will be a preventative measure in order to help keep Wilcox County's roads and highways safe from excessive speeding and intoxicated drivers. Project Good Neighbor This program is designed for Wilcox County Senior Citizens who live alone and/or have life threatening medical conditions. The Sheriff's Office would contact these citizens by telephone to check on their well- being.
