► Thackery ’ s calm manner yields respect from his students ► Loses his temper when he saw a sanitary pad/bra being burnt in the classroom ► Sets a new approach on teaching and treating his students ----- Ground rules ► Impresses students when he reveals his humble background ► Allows students to set the topics for their lessons ► Class is won over, except Denham ► Organizes a class outing to the museum
► Changes occur when the gym teacher insisted that “ Fats ” must vault despite class ’ objections ► Potter wrestles with the gym teacher ► Thackery called to defuse the situation ► Insists that Potter must apologize to the teacher ► Loses support from the boys ► Seales ’ mother dies --- discussion as to who should bring the wreath around --- Pamela volunteers
