1 Welcome to the new green theme template!! You can delete this slide after reading, but read first as this can save you precious time..! The 13 slides in this template are samples that you can use by overtyping the text to quickly create a nicely formatted slide show You can also delete these sample slides, and create all new slides from scratch The template is based on 4 masters: –The one with the grey boarder green line and the logo –The one with only the green line and the logo –The one with only the green line (no logo) –A blank one with pale grey background used for big pictures In all cases the back-ground colour is pale grey In both cases you will see some text (Presentation to Company Name) in the footer on the left, and a date and slide number on the right, this can easily be changed: –Click Slide sorter view, and select all the slides on which you want to change the footer text –Now click the Insert tab and select the “Header & Footer” icon –The window that opens allows you to change the footer text: make sure that the footer box is ticked –Then click “Apply”, this will change the footer text on all the slides selected If you don’t see the footer text in one of your slides simply click “Insert/Header & Footer” again and tick the footer box. To apply any of the masters on a slide, click the “Home” tab, then click “Layout” and select the relevant WWF layout thumbnail, this will (re)-apply the formatting of the layout on your slide You can easily change the pictures used in the sample slides: right click on a picture and select “change picture” If you choose new pictures remember that if you are using the “green theme” a picture relating to green – it will look better Though this is the green theme, there is no reason why not to mix and match with the other colour themes The standard non-serif font to be used is Arial, or if you want a serif font, then you can use Georgia If you are using pictures, remember to add the credits to the photographer 9-May-15 / 1

4 What is a CMS? A Content Management System (CMS) is an online platform where users can manage, edit and create content for one or more websites. –Each element or part of content displaying on the website is being managed through the CMS. –The CMS is built on a paralel platform along the actual website. The live website (front-end) uses the information that the CMS (back-end) has. –Working on the CMS will affect the live website when changes are being published in the system. Everyone whose job relates directly to the website should be able to work on it, that is, having a user account and an assigned profile. –Anyone who needs to update the content on the website, adding pages, links, publications, documents, images & graphics. –Anyone who works on the tech side, like developers, working on the backend, domains, servers, CMS settings, etc. –The WWF network uses the same CMS for most offices (around 50 including oneWWF).
