M Y SCHOOL REPORT …. ( AGE 16) Laura is an exceptionally dedicated and very conscientious student who completes activities in class, is careful to prepare for lessons and submits homework done to the best of her ability. She contributes well in class and seeks help when unsure. Laura is a very helpful and reliable member of the tutor group who has made an outstanding contribution to the life of the Sixth Form. Laura is doing extremely well in all her subjects, well done. Laura has always been a dedicated and determined student and deserves to do well. Make sure you do not over work yourself before the exams.
W HAT IT COULD HAVE SAID ….. Laura is an excellent student but is unable to acknowledge her own strengths or potential. In fact, Laura does not believe she has either. Laura is incredibly hard working but never feels she has done enough and battles continually with the feeling of being insufficient in every area. Laura works until the early hours of each day in order to achieve the highest standards in her work; she keeps going by using self-harm and caffeine pills. Laura believes that her only value comes from what she can offer those around her, in school this means getting exceptional grades. Laura views her GCSE and A Level grades as unacceptably low. Laura self-harms multiple times each day in order to keep up the façade of being an excellent student and an acceptable human. Laura thinks about killing herself everyday but remains unable to share her pain with others.
