5 Hypothesis  I think pond water would grow the best because it does not have chemicals in it to affect its growth.  I think tap water would grow, but not as good as pond because it has chemicals in it that make it ok to drink.  I did not think salt water would grow at all because I thought the salt in the water would stop it from growing.

6 Materials The materials I used in my project were 9 pots,1 bag of soil, tap, salt and pond water, 3 novo-meds (for watering) and a measuring cup.

8 Method Step: 1. Gather materials. 2. Put soil in pots (1 cup). 3. Put 1 inch hole in middle of pot to put seeds in. 4. Put 12 seeds in each hole. 5. Cover hole with soil. 6. Water grass as needed. 7. Watch for first signs of grass. 8. Record watering and when grass comes. 9. Measure grass as it grows. 10. Select the best type of water.

9 Variables Manipulated variable – Type of water Responding variable – Height of grass. Controlled variable – Amount of soil and seeds. Pots they are in. Type of water. Amount of light and, placement under light.

15 Analysis For my analysis I first recorded my information in 2 charts, all information and data averages. Then I used excel to graph this information. The first graph you will see is all data, and the second one is the averages.

18 Conclusion In conclusion, I figured out that my hypothesis was correct. In conclusion, I figured out that my hypothesis was correct. Pond water grew grass better than tap or salt water.
