2 John How to be fruitful: Living out the Christ-life with in I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

3 John How to be fruitful: Living out the Christ-life with in “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must also love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35) Loving one another, just as Jesus loves us (13:1-38) Being in Jesus, just as Jesus is in the Father (14:1 – 15:17) I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

(John 15:5) The gift of the Spirit (John 14:15-27) “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor to be with you forever – the Spirit of truth.… You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.” (14:16-17) The Spirit’s operating system: 1. Bringing glory to the Father and the Son “He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.” (16:14/ cf.14:13) 2. Love and obedience “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (14:23) 3. Peace and trust “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” (14:27)

(John 15:5) I bind unto myself today, The strong Name of the Trinity, The Three in One, and One in Three. Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger. I bind unto myself the Name, The strong Name of the Trinity, The Three in One, and One in Three.
