3 Aren Slays a Giant Aren, a mortal in his mid-20s, is contacted by the god Ares. Ares sends Aren to go kill the frost giant, Colossus created by Kronus in the depths of Tartarus. Aren grabs a sword and a bow and sets out to do it. He must then venture through the Tunnel of Karildous, and then go up the stairs of demise, in the Tower of Disgufin. He slays the wolves in the Depths of Tartarus by beheading them. The Serpent of Karildous could only be beaten by beating him both physically and mentally. Aren tricks it into thinking the poison was water, the snake drank it. Aren now had to beat him in a fight. The snake nearly bit Aren’s leg, but he was to quick and stopped it with a sword through the back of the head. The stairs of demise had to be ran quickly or you would fall in the pit of doom so he used a roped arrow and shot it to the top of the stairs. Aren gets to the giants cave, and finds him asleep. Aren stabs his face. His throat gurgles, and he incases Aren in ice. The giant walks to Aren and picks him up like he’s a fly. Aren slashes his way out, but as the ice explodes Ares makes a frost sword go into Colossus’s mouth. The giant drops Aren. As he’s falling he pulls out a bow and shoots an arrow to the giant’s throat. Aren then knocks an arrow with a rope on it. He swings safely to the ground. He takes out his hidden dagger and stabs the giant in the back. The Giant screeches in agony and spits out the sword, as his eyes close for the last time. Back
