1. Trip to Spain 2013

2. The language team are organising a trip to Jerez for all Newcastle City learning Spanish learners from May, 29th –June 05 2013. The aim of the trip is to develop an understanding of Spanish culture and competence in the Spanish language. In order to achieve this, you will have the opportunity to attend a language school and a number of trips, including visits to the Famous “Bodegas” from Jerez, Cadiz, and The National School of Flamenco. Accommodation is within host families on a half board basis. The total cost of the trip is £490. This includes all accommodation and the following trips and activities

4. The total amount of £490 will need to be paid by 6th March 2013 to Maria Brown (or Rafa Canet. Unfortunately we are only able to accept cheques, payable to Newcastle City Council. To confirm your place on the trip we require £100 deposit which is non refundable.

5. The price does not include flights and you will be responsible for booking flights and travel insurance at your convenience and in consultation with the trip organisers.

12. 16.00 Orientation Tour Jerez (optional visit to Jerez’s Cathedral and Fortress)

14. 16.00 Taller de flamenco: Visita a academia de baile y sesión de prueba

15. 16.00 Taller de gastronomía: Visita a escuela de hostelería y realizar un plato típico

16. 19.00 Ruta de tapas: recorrido por los bares más típicos y degustación

18. Stay Accommodation in single rooms in host families for seven nights on a half board basis. We have asked for lunch rather than the evening meal. We would recommend to take a small gift for the host family, something British (Short bread biscuits, chocolates….)

19. Your tutor will explain the arrangements for payment and when Rafa and Maria will be available at your centre. There is a meeting for all learners interested in the trip on Wednesday 28/11/12 at 18.00pm at Westgate College.
