2 Welcome to the YPQA Scores Reporter On Line Tutorial! This technology, available to network and program site leaders using the YPQA as part of quality improvement efforts, has the following features built in: Data Entry Data Export Youth PQA Form A ScoresBy Program or Network Youth PQA Form B ScoresYouth PQA ScoresProgram Improvement Plans Lets Get Started. To access Scores Reporter type in: www.etools.highscope.org Click ‘On Line Assessment’ Choose ‘Youth Program Quality Assessment – PQA’ When prompted, enter your site specific log in information Should you experience any issues logging into the training website (e.g. lost password), please feel free to contact your system or network contact The next page has pictures to assist you through the log in process

3 To Log in : Go to etools.highscope.org. Click ‘Online Assessment’. Choose ‘Youth Program Quality Assessment – PQA’. Enter User Name and Password. Press Go!

Generate reports from multiple Form A’s or export data Orientation to Scores Reporter home page…. All data entry and data export will originate from this page! Take a moment to review before we move into our next 2 sections on entering and exporting data.

5 SECTION 1: ENTERING YOUTH PQA DATA Once logged in, you can pick which information to enter by choosing the correct form from the drop down box in the upper left corner under the ‘Add New Form’ heading. You will be able to enter in your Form A Self and External Assessment scores, Form B (if using), and a Program Improvement Plans. For Form A, make sure you choose the correct age group: 4 th -12 th grade or K-6 th grade. Also, choose ‘Self Assess’ for self assessments, and ‘External’ for External Assessments. Once you enter the information for a YPQA Form A or Form B, the form will automatically be saved, and you will be able to generate reports for one or a combination of forms.

6 ENTERING YOUTH PQA DATA Form A Program Offering Information You will enter general program information before you submit your Youth PQA scores. You may enter data with a mouse or by keyboard.

7 ENTERING YOUTH PQA DATA Form A Youth PQA Scores Once general program information is submitted, you can enter the corresponding Youth PQA scores. Be sure to save, and print a copy for your records! Enter data by clicking on the correct score for each Youth PQA item.

8 ENTERING YOUTH PQA DATA Program Improvement Plans based on the Form A Youth PQA scores Step 1: Choose ‘Improvement Plan’ under the heading Other Forms. Step 2: Enter information for up to 3 goals. You will be asked to enter the following fields. A screen shot of this form follows on the next page. a.Site/Building Name b.Submit Date: date you complete Improvement Form c.Progress Monitoring Plans: defines how you will monitor progress and dates that monitoring will occur d.Goal: Enter up to three “SMART” goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time lined). For each goal, be sure to include: Corresponding YPQA item Staff responsible Steps towards reaching the goal When you will evaluate progress Desired support

9 ENTERING YOUTH PQA DATA Program Improvement Plans are site specific and based on the scores from Form A Youth PQA scores

10 Section 2: View & Printing Reports The best way to learn about what types of reports you can pull is to experiment! Program Facilitators and Directors receive site specific access. Network leaders receive access across multiple sites. What follows are some sample reports available to users. Sample Report 1: Form A Program Scores Comparison to CYPQ Norms Individual programs scores on the older youth PQA can be compared to CYPQ norms with the click of a button!

11 Sample Report 2: Summary and Detail Scores for YPQA Form A Individual programs scores can be reviewed in detail to identify areas for targeted improvement!

12 Report Options for All Program Offerings 1.Generate a report of ‘All Program Offerings’ Choosing this option will generate a report for all of the program offerings that have been entered (Self and External combined). This option is only preferred if your site has only entered self OR external assessment data. 2.Export data for ‘All Program Offerings’ Choosing the export function will generate an excel file with all of the YPQA data (older or younger youth). This data file is suitable for importing the data into SPSS or other statistical software

13 Report Options for Selected Program Offerings 1. Generate a report for Selected Program Offerings Choosing this option will give you the opportunity to choose which YPQA data to include in a report. Simple select all of the forms that you would like to include and press ‘submit’. It is recommended that self and external assessment data not be averaged together in reports. 2. Export data for ‘Selected Program Offerings’ Choosing the export function will generate an excel file with selected YPQA data (older or younger youth). Choose the forms to include and press submit.
