3  BOCES required to report course/teacher/evaluation data ◦ Student Lite; School Entry Exit; Course; Staff Snapshot; ◦ Staff Assignment; Staff Student Course; Student Class Grade Detail; ◦ Staff Evaluation Rating; Location Marking Period  Reminder to have a placeholder in the SMS for Alternate Student ID (NYSSIS) ◦ To be used for reporting to Higher Education (transcripts, etc) [10 alphanumeric characters]  Provide placeholders in the SMS for Adult ID ◦ Local Adult ID [9 alphanumeric characters] ◦ Statewide Adult ID [10 alphanumeric characters] ◦ To be used for parent portal

5  Staff Evaluation Rating template ◦ For Public School Districts, anticipate needing:  15 Local; 25 State subcomponent option, in addition to  20 Local; 20 State subcomponent option ◦ Charter Schools:  each staff person reported must have an Overall Composite record  no longer need to submit a score  Evaluation Criteria Codes (replace existing State/Local subcomponents) ◦ STATE20 - State subcomponent score (comparable measure) LOCAL20 - Local achievement subcomponent (comparable measure) ◦ STATE25 - State subcomponent score (value added) LOCAL 15- Local achievement subcomponent (value added)

6 o Virtual Locations (BOCES only) BOCES virtual locations are developed locally by the BOCES in conjunction with their Level 1 Data Center staff The FORMAT of the virtual location code is: First 6 digits of the BOCES SED code + “BO” + 4 alphanumeric digits [selected locally] example: BOxxxx

10  New data collection requirements for existing templates: ◦ Assessment Fact  New Measure Codes for Common Core Regents Assessments ◦ Student Daily Attendance  Add collection of in-school suspension (ISS) and out-of-school suspension (OSS) to attendance collection  LEAs will map Local Attendance Codes to State Attendance Codes in the dimension table

12  New codes and fields in existing templates should be available in the SMS by September ◦ For All NYS eScholar Templates:  When eScholar adds fields in their annual release to templates that NYS already uses, vendors should make it a practice to add those additional fields (unpopulated) to their extracts, even if NYS does not require the fields  Both NYS Reporting and Regional Reporting fields are required.  Data extracts for the following new/updated templates should be made available to LEAs no later than: ◦ Student ContactFebruary 2013 ◦ ContactFebruary 2013 ______________________________________________________________ ◦ Staff Evaluation RatingJuly 2013 ◦ Day CalendarSeptember 2013 ◦ Student Credit GPADecember 2013 ◦ Staff SnapshotDecember 2013
