2 Comments from Coach After 2 years of testing all players prefer ALT to Douglas and Riddell pads. They all ask for the pads by name. They really like the fact that they are so much lighter and have much more room for motion. We have had much better results with shoulder injuries. My guess is shoulder injuries are down by 50% or more compared to using other pads. I really like the ALT and tell all my coaching friends about them. 4 WHAT ’ S HONEYCOMB? TPU HONEYCOMB IS A THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE CORE THAT IS WELDED INTO MULTPLE HONEYCOMB CELLS. THIS TECHNOLOGY COMES FROM THE SHOE INDUSTRY FOR A LIGHT WEIGHT AND HIGH ENERGY ABSORPTION MATERIAL, THAT ALSO PROVIDES DURABILITY OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.

6 Energy Return The unique energy redirection property of Honeycomb, as compared to conventional energy absorbing foam materials, such as EVA foam are depicted below.

7 IMPACT ABSORBENCY THE HONEYCOMB CELLS FLEX AND COMPRESS TO ABSORB IMPACT. THE CENTER WHICH IS MUTUALLY CONNECTED BY HEXAHEDRAL PILLARS, PROVIDES HIGH STRENGTH AND DURABILITY BETTER THAN OTHER FOAMS IN THE SHOULDER PAD INDUSTRY TODAY.

8 IMPACT TEST WE USED A MACHINE WITH ONE 1.15LBS STEEL BALL THAT FALLS FROM 2 FEET ~ 3 FEET TO HIT THE TESTING PADS ON THE SENSOR. FROM THIS RESULT, YOU COULD FIND WHICH FOAM MATERIAL OR CONSTRUCTION ABSORBS IMPACT BETTER. THE UNIT OF DATA IS NEWTON (N). THE SMALLER NUMBER INDICATES LESS IMPACT TO GO THRU TO THE PLAYER.

11 LIGHTER!!! ALT2 is 4% lighter than our original ALT. It is almost 20% lighter than traditional shoulder pads. This is due to our new honeycomb technology which is lighter and more protective than other foams in our industry. With this lighter weight the player will feel more comfortable and have more range of motion than regular pads.

13 NEW REMOVABLE CLAVICLE BUILD-UP PADDING SYSTEM Our new TAG clavicle build- up pads are more protective than our original build ups. With this build up system the player will feel more comfort and less impact than other build up systems. Our two layer system is designed to absorb and transfer the energy from impact around the pad for the most protective system for the player. Our drop test show that 25% less impact will go thru to the player

14 NEW vs. OLD EPAULET Our new TAG clear epaulet has a cool feature to see the logo underneath. This new epaulet is made from polycarbonate material for the strongest epaulet in the industry. With this new material the epaulet does not bend in like solid plastic. With this feature the energy is transferred around the entire epaulet, therefore moving the energy over the entire surface area and not just in one point. 15 MOLDED ARCH REINFORCEMENT PIECE This new feature has the same protection as the old ALT but gives the pad a cooler look. The old arch foams were glued together. With this new system the foams are molded together for a better cosmetic design w/o losing protection and durability.

16 SANDWICH MESH (ALT2) vs. TPF2 LINING (ALT) Our new sandwich mesh is a breathable fabric to help keep the body cool. With a high air permeability construction it helps to pull moisture away from the body. It is protected by (Aegis Anti-Microbe shield). The Aegis Anti-Microbe shield is a revolutionary bonded anti-microbial technology developed by DOW chemical. This protection controls odor, staining and deterioration caused by bacteria, fungus and other microorganisms. It is a permanently bonded antimicrobial barrier. This lining is very durable for many seasons of use.
