8 Professional Dress Every Wednesday – WEEKLY Professional Management Grade –Day subject to change for visitors and special guests Computing for College & Careers – EXTRA CREDIT ALL other Departments –REQUIRED

9 Professional Dress Policy Must be Professionally Dressed for the ENTIRE Shift Entire ensemble falls within guidelines –5 points HALF outfit or NO outfit –0 points

10 Professional Dress Guidelines Men Shirts –Polo –Dress/Button down-long/short sleeve –TUCKED IN

11 Professional Dress Guidelines Men Slacks –Dress slacks or khakis –MUST fit around waist –MUST wear a belt General Rule: if belt loops, wear a belt Unacceptable -Cargo or Jeans

12 Professional Dress Guidelines Men Shoes –Dress Shoes –Clean Boots Unacceptable -Cowboy Boots -Work Boots -Sneakers -Flip Flops

13 Professional Dress Guidelines Men Extra Credit –Tie and dress shirt 5 extra points –Complete suit (matching slacks and jacket, dress shirt and tie) 10 extra points

14 Professional Dress Guidelines Women Shirts –Short or long sleeves –Sleeveless must HAVE a coordinated sweater/jacket Unacceptable –Plunging neckline –Exposed midriff –Spaghetti straps

15 Professional Dress Guidelines Women Skirts & Dresses –Mid-thigh, ankle, or knee –The MAX of 4” above you knee Length of TCHS ID Unacceptable -Jean Skirt or Jean Dress Slacks –Dress slacks or khakis Unacceptable -Jeans or Cargo

16 Professional Dress Guidelines Women Shoes –Dress Shoes Back, Sling Back or Mule with minimum 1” heel MAX of a 1”-3” heel –Dress Boots –Clean Unacceptable -Flip Flops-Thong Sandals -Strappy Shoes (formal) -Sneakers or Boots

22 Sign In Every day Initial by your name Double check the date

23 TARDY Signing in AFTER the Bell –If you have an authorized note –If you have an authorized pass Employers will go over the procedures and consequences individually

24 Personal Sign Out During Office Hours Each Employer has their own policies for passes ALWAYS –Seek permission from an Employer

25 End of Shift Dismissal Bell DOES NOT dismiss Employers will dismiss you –Supplies/Resources put away properly –NO trash around work station –Employees seated in their assigned area

26 Restricted Areas Employer’s desk Employer’s office Co-worker’s desk/work area Co-worker’s personal belongings

27 Due Dates and Deadlines Strictly Enforced Not in In-Box by deadline –Point Deduction –Not Accepted Assignments usually encompass several days, therefore absences are not considered an acceptable excuse for missed deadlines Employers will specify deadlines at time of assignment

28 Food, Drink, Chewing Gum Are allowed in Office HOWEVER! If I find any wrappers, trash, crumbs, bottles, etc. in the office; I will remove this privilege in ALL classes. –Makes a mess –Can potentially ruin PCs –Financial Obligation are put on employee

29 NO Grooming In Class Not Professional Includes –Makeup –Brushing/Styling Hair – Perfume/Hairspray/Fragranced Lotions Do NOT use Allergies Use a Pass if available

30 Not Allowed Hats Bandanas/Dew Rags Headphones CD/MP3/DVD players IPODs Cell phones Beepers Palms Games –Electronic –Cards Consequences –Warning –Confiscation –Director will give specific guidelines

31 Computers Unacceptable in PCs at WEI –3 1/2 floppy disks –CDs music Information –Jump/Flash Drives –Any unauthorized cables Immediate Confiscation –Will not be returned –Will be turned into Technology Coordinator –Will be reported to appropriate Dean –May be destroyed
