The Spirit filled Christian life (Ephesians 5:15-21)
FSJ
2
Introduction Eph. 1-3, who we are in Christ. As a result of that we are called to walk in a specific manner (Eph. 4-6). I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, (Eph 4:1 ESV) Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. (Eph 4:17 ESV) And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Eph 5:2 ESV) Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (Eph. 5:7-8) Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, (Eph 5:15 ESV)
3
Walk as wise (5:15-16) Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, (Eph 5:15 ESV) And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God (1 Cor. 1:30) to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery, which is Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3) In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ (Eph. 1:7-9) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,(Eph 1:17)

the time making the best use of the time
Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ (Eph 2:12); for at one time you were darkness, (Eph 5:8). Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time (Col 4:5) But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. (Act 20:24)

Understand what the will of the Lord is (5:17)
making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth (1:9-10) For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; (1Th 4:3) give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1Th 5:18). This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1Ti 2:3-4)

Be filled with the Spirit (5:18-21)
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, (Eph 5:18)
8
Filled with the Spirit And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Act 2:4) Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people and elders, (Act 4:8 ESV) And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. (Act 4:31) Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." (Act 9:17) But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him (Act 13:9)
