Arctic is the smallest And the coldest of the four; Its icy polar waters Frost our northern door.
Warm, cold or frozen They’re beautiful to behold. Earth’s four oceans— And now the story’s told.
Earth’s Four Oceans by Sally Coyne A memory poem Pacific Atlantic Indian Arctic Earth’s Four Oceans
Pacific means peaceful, earth’s biggest sea; This deepest of oceans is as blue as can be. Atlantic means strong, its waters so vast; Across its waves has sailed our past. Indian is only in the southern hemisphere; It alone doesn’t touch this continent we hold dear. Arctic is the smallest and the coldest of the four; Its icy polar waters frost our northern door. Warm, cold, or frozen, they’re beautiful to behold; Earth’s four oceans—and now the story’s told. Sally Coyne
