1. Membership Renewal Member Renewal Services Available on the SOT Web site:  Print personalized invoice to fax or mail with payment  Renew SOT membership on-line  Join or renew membership to Regional Chapters, Special Interest Groups, and Specialty Sections. (Student Members receive the first Specialty Section and Special Interest Group at no charge.)  Purchase a ToxSci Subscription  Register for the SOT Annual Meeting or upcoming event  Make payment on-line by credit card

2. Membership Renewal Step 1: Access the Membership Renewal Select the drop down option to Membership Renewal from the SOT Web site navigation under Inside SOT, Membership. If you are not already logged into the SOT Web site, the membership login will prompt you for your E-mail and Password to access your membership record and display your current renewal information. (The “Forgot Your Password?” option on the login is available and generates an e-mail containing your SOT Web site Password to the e-mail address on record for your account.)

3. Membership Renewal Step 2: Membership Dues The renewal displays the year and dollar amount for all dues owed. If you have paid the dues for the current year, the system advances to the next option in the renewal; to Specialty Sections. Dues are collected annually beginning November 15 and are due December 15 for the upcoming calendar year. The renewal reports dues in arrears for up to two years that must be paid at the same time as the current cycle using the on-line renewal system. Select continue to proceed.

4. Membership Renewal Step 3: Join or Renew Specialty Sections Use this section to join or renew a membership in one or more of the SOT Specialty Sections at the same time as renewing your membership or anytime during the year for $15 per Section. Students and postdoctoral fellows receive the first Specialty Section at no cost. Use the blue scroll bar on the right to view the complete list of Specialty Sections. Simply select the Section(s) of your choice and the system will add the Specialty Section membership to your shopping cart. Sections that you have already joined/renewed for the current year will not display until the next renewal cycle. Select continue to proceed.

5. Membership Renewal Step 4: Join Special Interest Groups New this year, members have the option to participate in Special Interest Groups at the same time as renewing your membership or anytime during the year at $15 per Group. Students and postdoctoral fellows receive the first Special Interest Group at no cost. Simply select the Group(s) of your choice and the system will automatically add the Special Interest Group membership to your shopping cart. The Group(s) that you have already joined for the current year will not display until the next renewal cycle. Select continue to proceed.

Membership Renewal Step 5: Join or Renew Regional Chapters Use this section to join or renew a membership in one or more of the SOT Regional Chapters at the same time as renewing your membership or any time during the year. The fees for membership vary from chapter to chapter and most have membership fees based on your SOT membership type. Use the blue scroll bar on the right to view the complete list of Regional Chapters. Simply select the Chapter(s) and the membership type and the system will add the Chapter(s) membership to your shopping cart. Chapters that you have already joined/renewed for the current year will not display until the next renewal cycle. Select continue to proceed.

7. Membership Renewal Step 6: Centralized Shopping Cart Products: The first panel in the cart displays a summary of the membership options you selected. Please review this listing and select the back button on your browser to make any changes to the selections.

Membership Renewal Step 6: Centralized Shopping Cart (continued) Subscriptions: You may select to add the printed (or electronic if not already included with your membership) subscription(s) to the ToxSci Journal. The system will display what comes with your membership in the panel. Merchandise: You may purchase SOT merchandise at the time as your membership renewal or any time during the year. At this time, SOT does not have merchandise for sale on-line. (SOT Memorabilia will be on sale at the 2008 Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington.)

9. Membership Renewal Step 6: Centralized Shopping Cart (continued) Register for Events: For your convenience, register for the upcoming SOT Annual Meeting or any other SOT upcoming meetings at the same time as renewing your membership. Simply select the Registration option and then select the event(s) on the Events screen. Your membership type and contact information will carry through to the registration process. Complete the form, select submit and you will return to the shopping cart with the event(s) added to the renewal shopping cart.

10. Membership Renewal Step 6: Centralized Shopping Cart (continued) Total: After all selections have been made in the shopping cart, recalculate the total by selecting the Update the Total button. Once the cart total is recalculated, proceed by selection the Check-Out button.

11. Membership Renewal Step 7: Check-Out For your security and privacy, the shopping cart and check-out are provided on a secure server and display the https in the URL and the lock icon as an indicator. Billing and Shipping Information: The renewal will prepopulate using the information in your membership profile. Add or edit your shipping information and communication preference for this order. Select continue to proceed.

12. Membership Renewal Step 7: Check-Out (continued) Demographic Information: Provide SOT with demographic information to better assist membership. All information is submitted voluntarily. Use the calendar icon to select the graduation date for your highest degree. Use the first day of the month of graduation if you don’t recall the actual day. To select multiple options in the primary research areas, hold the control key (Ctrl) on the PC or Apple (Cmnd) on the Mac to select multiple options in the selection box. Select continue to proceed.

13. Membership Renewal Step 7: Check-Out (continued) Payment: Select the credit card type from the drop down option. Key in the numbers for your credit card (no required format), select the expiration date from the drop down option, and provide the card holder’s name. Select continue to proceed.

14. Membership Renewal Step 7: Check-Out (continued) Confirmation: A summary for the renewal including your membership contact information, a listing of products you are purchasing, the total being collected for this transaction, and the credit card information display for your review and approval. Use the back button on your browser to make any changes. You have completed the renewal process. Selected the finish button to complete the renew process. You will receive a confirmation for the renewal and any items purchased within a few minutes of completing the renewal. Thank You

15. Membership Renewal Pay your dues by December 15 to ensure that your member benefits are not interrupted. By completing your Society of Toxicology dues payment, you are agreeing with the Society of Toxicology Code of Ethics.
