2 Retouching Retouching is the process of altering a photo or an image, usually to remove imperfections, such as spots stains, and other flaws.

3 Clone Stamp Tool The Clone Stamp tool is a retouching tool that lets you copy and paste pixels from one area of an image to another area.

10 Sport Healing Brush Healing Method SPECIFY A HEALING METHOD: Proximity Match: samples pixels from around edge of the selection Create Texture: samples the pixels from inside the selection Content Aware: remove and repair texture based on the actual content of your image First, Try your fix by selecting ‘Content Aware’. If you don’t get satisfying results, undo your work (command Z), switch to the Proximity Match or Create Texture method and try again to see if your results improve.

11 Spot Healing Brush Tool........ With the Spot Healing Brush tool active, you paint directly onto the flawed area that you’d like to fix. You can paint either in strokes, by clicking and dragging, or on specific spots, by clicking and releasing. Once you click or paint over a flaw in the image, the Spot Healing Brush automatically samples nearby pixels and uses those pixels to fix the problem.

12 The Patch Tool The Patch tool is one of the quickest and most effective ways to retouch images in Photoshop. This tool lets you replace the pixels in a problematic area of an image with pixels from another, “clean” part of the same image. Type Shift + J to access this tool. 13 The Patch Tool The first step in using the Patch tool is to select the part of the image that you’d like to fix. Selecting parts of an image with the Patch tool works just like it does with standard Photoshop selection tools, such as the Lasso—you simply circle the target area while keeping the mouse button pressed down, then release the mouse button once you’ve circled the entire target area to finalize the selection.
