2 As most Modern Studies departments have access to a whiteboard, the MSA has produced an interactive teaching resource (Boardworks:The Scottish Parliament). We hope pupils and teachers find the format engaging and the content useful. This resource is not designed to be a series of lessons, but aims to help members deliver a key study area of any Modern Studies course. Also, it is to be hoped that Modern Studies teachers will find these materials useful not just for S1 and S2 classes, but also for more senior pupils. If there are any issues that you wish to raise, then please contact Jim Cook at: jcook@perthhigh.pkc.sch.uk James Cook, April 2011 The Modern Studies Association: Promoting and Enhancing Modern Studies jcook@perthhigh.pkc.sch.uk This material (Boardworks:The Scottish Parliament) is copyright protected. It is only for use by members of the Modern Studies Association (MSA). Teachers who are not members of the MSA are asked to do the right thing and become a member of the Association. One way students can have a say about issues that affect them is through pupil councils. Is there a pupil council in your school? If so, how does it represent pupils? Has your school made any changes that have been asked for by pupils? Are there any examples of pupil representation in your school? For example, have you had your say about issues?
