Hershey and Chase Experiment By: Dahlia Malesevic, Alina Dyak, and Michael Galperin
SUMMERY Hershey and Chase wanted to find out whether protein or DNA was hereditary. Steps: –Infected two phages –Both reproduced in separate cells. –Within the reproduced phages, the sulfur did not appear, but the phosphorous did. Showed that DNA is hereditary because it was radio active. GENES ARE HEREDITARY
