The Treasure Principle “You can’t take it with you –but you can send it on ahead.”Discovering the Secret of Joyful GivingBy Randy Alcorn
Treasure Principle Key #1 Psalm 24:1 – “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”God owns everything. I’m His money manager.
Treasure Principle Key #2 Matthew 6:21 – “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”My heart always goes where I put God’s money
Treasure Principle Key #3 Philippians 3:20 – “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”Heaven, not earth, is my home
Treasure Principle Key #4 Proverbs 3:9 says “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.”God’s children give to Him first, not last.Giving is the only antidote to materialismIt is much easier to live on 90%, 50% or 10% of your income inside the will of God than it is to live on 100% outside of it.
Treasure Principle Key #5 God prospers me not to raise my standard of living, but to raise my standard of giving
