PAT & T30+

ATTITUDES “The longer I live, the more I release the impact of attitude on life, Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than then appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company………a church……a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the Attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our Attitude….. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it”.

INTEGRITY It is demonstrated when - Your intent is pure, and you do not have hidden or ulterior motives; - You are honest with yourself and others about the real you; - You do not pretend to be someone you are not; - You mean what you say; - You do not keep silent when you know that it is appropriate to speak up; - You can be trusted to do what you promise;

Honesty and propriety in the use of service position and resources. b. Always offering correct and sincere advice. C. Exemplary management of personal affairs and finances.

PROACTIVITY Look at the word responsibility - response - ability - the ability to choose your response. Highly proactive people recognize the responsibility. They do not blame circumstances / conditions or conditioning for their behaviour. Their behaviour is a product of their own conscious choice based on values rather than on feelings.

PROACTIVE MODEL STIMULUS FREEDOM TO CHOOSE RESPONSE Self -AwarenessImaginationConscienceIndependent will

SMILE GO EVERYWHERE A smile is quite a funny thing, it wrinkles up your face; And when it’s gone, you never find, its secret hiding place. But far more wonderful it is, to see what smiles can do; You smile at one, he smiles at you, and so one smile makes two. He smiles at some one since you smiled, and then that one smiles back; And that one smiles, until in truth, you fail in keeping track. Now since a smile can do great good, by cheering hearts of care; Let’s smile and smile, and not forget, that smiles go everywhere.

WHAT IS HAPPINESS? Happy is he, who has found self. Happy is he, who knows God. Happy is he, who has lofty and noble aspirations. Happy is he, who is rising in the world, climbing higher and higher. Happy is he, who is enriching the lives of all those about him. Happy is he, who is contributing something to make this world a better place in which to live. Happy is he, whose work, whose chores, whose daily tasks, are labours of love. Happy is he,who loves love. Happy is he, who loves life. Happy is he, who is happy. Happiness is everyday. Happiness is now. Happiness is in the journey, not in the destination.!

HAPPINESS IS IN THE JOURNEY… … NOT IN THE DESTINATION! Happiness is the state of mind. It can never be found in the material things about us, in such things as wealth, position or power. Disillusioned and disappointed are they, who spend a lifetime harvesting and accumulating more wealth than they need, only to discover, too late, that all the money in the world won’t buy a grain of happiness! Happiness is an expression of appreciation for the things which we have now. Happiness is today. Happiness is now. Each new dawn signals the birth of a glorious new day wherein we can both give and find love, contentment, cheerfulness and unselfish service!

D:DREAMER He sees FARTHER. Has clear VISION and decides the OWNERSHIP with the consent of the group. He understand this ASPECT by understanding people. –Some people never see. : WONDERER. –Some people see but never pursue on their own.: FOLLOWERS. –Some people see and pursue it.: ACHIEVERS. –Some people see, pursue and help others to achieve it.: LEADER. Dreams are nothing more than desires. Desires become strong when supported by Direction, Dedication, Determination, Discipline and Deadlines.

E:EXCELLENCE Leaders excels, go beyond average - persuade their vision by understanding their values of leadership in organization. All organizations starts growing when the cost goes high. We are not to live our life as LEGALIST. Leaders help take people up the hill towards excellence.

R:RELATIONSHIP It is a bondage, between HEART TO HEART. Why customers quit. DIE1% MOVES AWAY3% FORM OTHERS FRIENDSHIP5% COMPETITIVE REASON9% PRODUCT DISSATISFACTION14% DIFFERENCE IN ATTITUDE68% Ability to CONNECT PEOPLE. He who thinks is a leader and finds no one following him is merely taking a walk.

DEVELOPING LEADERSHIP QUALITIES WITHIN YOU Leader is an Influencer. Who motivates, navigates and steers the organization to achieve excellence. He is not an outcome from the structure but from the manpower. I shall discuss with you 10 ways to gain influence over people you work with.

INFLUENCER I :INTEGRITY - Moral uprightness, Honesty, Wholeness, Morality and Purity. A survey carried out in America revealed 71% of leadership problem was integrity. Never ever betray trust of the follower. Practice VISION statement, which has direct influence on Integrity. Our VISION has four factors which are Integrity, Reliability, Pro-activity and Transparency.

N :NURTURE It is caring for people. Money makes the assets but people make money. Commitment to the people to whom you lead. Preferably a two way traffic - bondage of trust between leader and follower to be established. We cannot nurture people if we have Fear of people Dislike people Contempt people.

F : FAITH Faith and trust in people.

L : LISTEN Listen to people. Ladder of listening can be achieved by L :LOOK AT THE SPEAKER. A :ASK QUESTIONS TO CLARIFY DOUBTS. D :DON’T INTERRUPT. D :DON’T CHANGE THE SUBJECT. E :CHECK THE EMOTIONS. R :RESPONSIVE LISTENING. Leaders generally have the tendency to steal the EGO - FOOD, which ultimately detach the followers from him and allows him to coil - in.

U : UNDERSTANDING PEOPLE We should not fear from the people and we should shun selfishness. With this we will have a long lasting relationship. Followers wants GENIUNESS. NON POSSIVENESS (NON-EGOIST). ACCEPT PEOPLE AS THEY ARE. EMPATHY.

E : ENLARGES PEOPLE If one has to go from one level to another he has to enlarge KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDE,SKILL and HABIT. (KASH). Level of the organization can be judged by the ENLARGEMENT of the workforce, not in $.

N : NAVIGATOR Navigator has to be obeyed. Guide step by step - PROACTIVE approach.

C: CONNECTING PEOPLE Connect heart to heart and not head to head. CONNECT : HEART - Passion and Emotion Intelligence(EQ). HURTS - Love and Support at the weakest time. HOPE - Loyalty is not a factor but taking their hope into consideration, we can assist them to achieve their dream. Leader should be like a Quarter Back in a Soccer team.
