In order to show the suffering and horrors hidden behind the raising of animals for their fur, Animal Friends Croatia in February 2005 held a loud protest which gathered over 150 protesters!

Why anti-fur protest? Because in order to make one single animal fur coat one must kill: foxes, beavers, raccoons, nutrias, opossums, minks, sables, squirrels, chinchillas, ermines

Why anti-fur protest? Because the animals raised for fur spend their whole lives locked in tiny wire cages full of filth, fur balls and waste of other animals. Wire cages hurt their paws and they are constantly exposed to extreme weather conditions, hunger, thirst, stress, and are forced to cannibalism.

Why anti-fur protest? Because in Croatia chinchillas are raised and killed for fur. Croatia should not support this shameful, uncivilized and ecologically dangerous treatment of animals and should ban the raising of animals for fur!

Why anti-fur protest? Before being skinned, the animals are killed by neck breaking, gas poisoning or by injecting poison in their hearts. Or they are electrocuted with electric shocks of 240 V whereby one electrode is pushed in either their mouth, vagina or anus.

Why anti-fur protest? Due to the raising of animals for fur the environment is being polluted and natural resources are being destroyed. Moreover, carcinogenic chemicals used in fur production are dangerous for human health.

Therefore Animal Friends Croatia invite you to join this LOUD ANTI-FUR PROTEST Saturday, February 4, 2006, at 11 AM The loud protest against raising of animals for fur in Croatia will start in front of the Croatian National Theatre and will go along the following route: Croatian National Theatre, Frankopanska Street, Ilica, Ban Jelacic Square, Ilica, Margaretska Street, Petar Preradovic Square, Preradoviceva Street, Masarykova Street, Croatian National Theatre.

Join this loud protest for the legal ban of raising animals for fur in Croatia! Please forward this message to all your friends!
