Some things to think about: How many credits do you have remaining? Determine how many credits per semester you are comfortable taking Factor in a co-op or study abroad (time away from school)…how will this affect your courses? If you know you will be pursuing a minor/certificate/second degree, plan for those extra credits as well

22 T RANSFERRING C LASSES TO MTU Many students take classes over the summer at home to get caught up or to lighten future semester loads. Look up transfer equivalencies at In order to process incoming transfer credit, an official transcript from your transferring institution must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office. Information to Remember Upper-division ( level) Michigan Tech course transfers require prior written approval from the appropriate department. Current/readmitted Michigan Tech students are required to take UN1001 and UN1002 on campus. If any course that you plan to take off campus is a prerequisite for your next term on campus, you will need to notify Transfer Services. Transfer Services will enter a prerequisite waiver to prevent any course scheduling issues.
