What can a donation DO? $2 per month donated to Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence would pay fees for a domestic violence survivor to replace ID that often must be left behind when fleeing abuse. $4 per month donated to EarthShare will subsidize five low- income parents to attend an asthma care and green cleaning training workshop, where they earn a Green Cleaning Certificate and develop job skills. $4 per month donated to Local Independent Charities can vaccinate, de-worm, microchip, and spay/neuter one cat or dog at the animal shelter in Albany. $5 per month donated to Work for Art repairs four musical instruments that are given to a student, free-of-charge, for an entire school year.
$5 per month donated to Community Health Charities enrolls a person with dementia in a service that responds to medical emergencies and wandering. $5 per month donated to Habitat for Humanity buys a sturdy front door for a Habitat home. $10 per month donated to United Way of Umatilla and Morrow Counties provides an Eastern Oregon family with enough emergency food to last more than a month. $10 per month donated to United Way of the Columbia Gorge will pay for a homebound senior to receive 30 days’ worth of Meals on Wheels. $10 a month donated to Children’s Trust Fund supports 30 new parents learning about the risks of shaking their newborn baby.
