Atoms: The smallest particle of a substance that can exist by itself or be combined with other atoms to form a molecule A very small amount of something
Element Pure substance that cannot be seperated into simpler substances by chemical or physical means.
Molecule A group of atoms bonded together, representing the smallest fundamental unit of a chemical compound that can take part in a chemical reaction. Consists of two or more atoms of the same element, or different elements, that are chemically bound together.
Compound Is a pure substance composed of two or more different elements joined by chemical bonds. Made of elements in a specific ratio that is always the same. Can only be seperated by chemical means, not physical. Has a Chemical formula.
Mixture A substance made by mixing other substances together. Are a combination of two or more pure substances, that are not chemically combined. No chemical change takes place. Each item retains its properties in the mixture. Can be seperated physically.
Atom This is a atom.
