The Kinaray-a people now have the New Testament in their language-Kinaray-a!
This means, “The Launching of the New Testament in Kinaray-a”
Nanay (Mother) Bea, the main Bible translator, was congradulated by Dr. Larry Jones, Representing Wycliffe-USA
They are getting ready to hand out the New Testaments to the people.
This is really something to celebrate!
A band played on a truck as part of the parade.
Tricycads (motorcycles with passenger carts) took us in the parade. Kinaray-a children will now grow up having God’s love letter in their language!
Some of my coworkers came with me celebrating and praising God.
Mr. Nard Pugyao testified of how God’s Word in his language made all the difference and of how there are well over 2000 languages still needing the New Testament. He spoke of how Jesus said the gospel would be preached in every nation before He returns, so we “must get to work”.
