Christmas Eve dinner Right before the Christmas Eve dinner we read the Bible and we share a special wafer (opłatek ) with each other and wish ourselves all the best for the next year.
Under the tablecloth we put a little hay It is the symbol of the place where Jesus was born.

On Christmas Eve for dinner we prepare 12 dishes. However, usually there is more than 12.
We eat fried carp ( kind of fish )
and some other kinds of fish
pierogi with mushrooms or cabbage
We also have mushroom soup and beetroot soup
We also sing Christmas carols.
