3 The Premier Youth Hockey Association of Central Ohio 3 Opportunities - Board This year’s election had nearly 250 ballots cast –Reaching goal to make this a desirable position (7 candidates for 3 positions) Third year of full three-year rotation –Board comprised of 8 members 1/3 elected annually Group A: 3 board members Group B: 3 board members Group C: 2 board members 1 Ex-officio officer

New Logos Coaches’ Apparel Team Kits and Pucks provided to all house teams Enhanced use of web site Second year for Director of Operations Position Smaller rosters for Mini-Mite & Mite = additional ice time

19 The Premier Youth Hockey Association of Central Ohio 19 Youth Hockey in Columbus State of Youth Hockey AAA - Key Points of the Partnership and Program –Brand new, first of its’ kind in Columbus –Joint venture with CAHA and EYHA to develop true Tier I talent in central Ohio to compete and succeed at this level –Tier I program will be run by an independent committee comprised of representatives from all three organization There will be no path to the AAA teams through either the CCYHA or the Capitals Travel programs CCYHA members on the committee are Rob Schriner, Mike Rose and Alex Gruszewski –CCYHA Travel and Capitals Travel programs to not register any Tier I/AAA teams –CCYHA and Capitals Travel programs will each continue to register A and AA travel teams –AAA/Tier I tryouts will be held prior to the CCYHA and Capitals A and AA tryouts for pee wee, bantam and midget –Team name TBD –Tier I requires a high degree of commitment and is not for everyone

20 The Premier Youth Hockey Association of Central Ohio 20 Upcoming Season Challenges & Opportunities Challenges Driven by Strong Growth –Rosters - finding a place for players –Coaches - continue to strive to find best coaches possible house/travel –Ice availability - growth of High School and other programs –Officiating - growing faster than the referee pool –Balance at Bantam level with High School JV Hockey –Parents: remember it's just a game
