Scenarios and problem statement PDF (Portable Document Format) is the ISO 32000 standard for electronic document exchange first popularized by Adobe Systems, Inc. in 1992. An ecosystem of vendors have created tools for the creation of PDF files, and the format widely is used for publishing, archiving, and electronic forms solutions world-wide. Businesses are facing increased incidents of lost or stolen company information and must mitigate risk It has been estimated that 40% of electronic enterprise documents are in PDF format.

Foxit PDF Security Suite product architecture Both Foxit Security Suite Reader and Protector are installed on client side. To use Foxit Security Suite, users do not need to install any software on the server side. Foxit Security Suite SharePoint extensions need to be installed on SharePoint server, and the server will be able to automatically protect PDF after the SharePoint extensions installed.
