Major Requirements Primarily for Natural Science transactions Manage transactions other than loans Manage loans of uncatalogued objects Manage partial returns of inward and outward loans Manage specific parts of a single catalogue record Existing Accessions Module retained

Need to manage data associated with: Outward donations, exchanges, tissue grants (from Tissue Collection) Partial loan returns – Nat Sci loans may be returned over a period of time Donations or loans of specimen parts or parts of specimen lots, including tissue and mineral grants for destructive analysis Incoming loans –Record other institution Catalogue numbers and taxon information –Exhibition objects

Existing Loans Module Object Tab Currently, data in Notes field must be manually entered into Loan Notes field on Catalogue Collection Management Tab Ethanol-fixed specimens loaned for comparative examination. Approval given for a small sample of muscle tissue to be removed from each specimen for molecular study.

Existing Catalogue Module Collection Management Tab Loans Module Summary data – implies that entire lot is on loan Information manually entered – only 2 of 5 specimens on loan

Specimen parts granted for molecular research Limbs from crustaceans specimens granted for molecular research
