Light is sent back from the object and enters the eyes. Light falls on the object. How is light reflected?
How does light travel? Light moves in waves. Light waves can pass through a medium. Light waves can reflect or refract
What happens to light when you shine it though a lens? Convex lens bend parallel light rays inward and meet (converge) at a spot just beyond the lens known as the focal point. A concave lens is exactly the opposite with the outer surfaces curving inward, so it makes parallel light rays curve outward or diverge.
Light is a complex and interesting subject. Feel free to explore the activities below. http://www.brainpopjr.com/science/energy/light/grownups.weml#teachers http://amazing-space.stsci.edu/resources/explorations/light/index.html http://www.learner.org/teacherslab/science/light/color/index.html
