Teacher’s Guide Introduction: This Curriculum Web is designed for fourth grade students and up. It will require five to six weeks to make it through all of the components. Timeframe will also depend on the students’ knowledge of the technology components as well as essay writing. The students will gain information regarding Christopher Columbus as well as The Mayflower, Jamestown, the first colony, and how our country began to seek independence from Britain. I have the students going to a web page to write in the Blog, however students could also be directed to write in a journal instead if need be. For further information over the Illinois state standards addressed please use the link below. Click to return home.
Credits I would like to give credit to all of the websites for allowing the students to access them to learn all abut the beginning of America. I also would like to give credit to the University of Phoenix, because without the class I never would have attempted anything like this. Thanks to Diann Vernon, my professor, for all of her wonderful insight and guidance. http://gardenofpraise.com/ibdcolum.htm http://gardenofpraise.com/taketest.php?testid=15 http://www.pilgrimhall.org/onmayfl.htmhttp://www.columbusnavigation.com/ Permissions We all benefit by being generous with our work.
