2
+ What kind of a Savior do we need? 1. One who could remove the curse of sin (death). 2. One who could give us perfection or holiness as a gift. Romans 6:23 Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
3
+ What kind of a Savior do we need? Therefore, the Savior we needed had to be: 1. Man in order to live under the Law in our place and die in our place. 2. God in order to have his perfect life and his suffering and death count for everyone. Galatians 4:4-5 But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Psalm 49:7-8 No man can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for him— the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough.

+ Who is Jesus Christ? HE IS TRUE GOD! 1. The Bible calls him God. Tells that he (Jesus) has the characteristics of God; Shows that he does the works of God (miracles); Therefore, Jesus Christ is God I John 5:20John 1:1 Hebrews 13:8John 21:17 John 2:11
5
+ Who is Jesus Christ? HE IS TRUE MAN! Tells that he has the characteristics of man; Therefore, we know that Jesus Christ is also man. 3. Jesus Christ is the Savior we all need, both God and man! I Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Hebrews 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil. 2. The Bible: calls him man;

Hebrews 7:25 Hebrews 7:26-27 Such a high priest meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people.
