10 TDT has always been noted for its unique blend of conventional Thrash and Groove Metal with a large dose of traditional Kerala folk music elements, art forms such as Theyyam in particular. The band also incorporates a lot of traditional folk sounds and instruments in the form of ambient layers in their music. Rhythm structures used in their songs too are primarily inspired by folk music. Lyrically the band has a strong philosophy of talking about inequalities and injustices which are ever present in India's social and political systems. A common theme in their music is the effort to project the voice of the under-privileged and down-trodden people.

11 Zygnema is a Mumbai based 4 piece heavy/thrash/groove metal band that mainly focuses on the social/political “fuck ups” and loves to dig deep down on riffs that are heavy and groove oriented. The band, over the last 6 years, has won numerous national and international accolades that only do so much to correspond to the powerhouse that the band is. One such accolade is the award for Rolling Stone Metal awards 2011 Best Metal band and Best Metal Song in the popular choice category. Zygnema was formed in December 2006, and since then, have been grooving steadily to the tunes of success and uncompromising determination.

12 SystemHouse33 is the first metal band to emerge from the small Indian town of Nagpur but shifted base to Mumbai and has since captured the imagination of audiences all over the country. The band plays an interesting blend of Thrash and groove with extreme influences from different styles, including Death Metal, incorporating atmospheric parts and artistic rendering to make it a notch above the rest in terms of musical expression and presentation.

13 Primitiv comprising of members from Albatross, Hellwind and Morticide, seek to deny the stereotype attached to genres by varying their sound as dictated by the lyrical themes. The stories told by Primitive about ‘how the Earth is hurled back into primitive ways of life after a holocaust wiped out science, art and culture of the age.’ Primitiv’s new track ‘Taurus’ upholds a well-thought composition, especially a bewitching baseline.
