Service from God's words means employment, duty, responsibility of assigned tasked.
After God created Adam, He employed him to serve the garden in Eden. "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." Genesis 2:15
It means Dedication to duty even when it does not have an meaningful reward - Eliezer Gen.15:1-2
