Recap Expose the embedded assumptions underlying knowledge claims, opens knowledge up to contestation Attention to history of systems of thought Identify modes of control: surveillance, normalisation and examination Perpetual suspicion and critique Questioning of normative categories BUT No grounds to claim one way is better than another Power is so ubiquitous as to become a meaningless analytic concept? Collapse into a postmodern anything goes-ism?
