Pel, puls, peal Drive, push
appeal To push for review by a higher authority The lawyer filed an appeal to try to get a new trial for his client.
repellent A substance used to drive off pests. We rubbed repellent on our arms before going into the woods.
dispel to drive away or cause to disappear. The retaining wall was used to dispel water from the lower part of the yard.
expel To drive out by force; make leave; push away. We had to expel the skunk from the backyard.
propel To push or drive forward. We used the wind to propel us across the lake.
repeal To withdraw formally or drive away. The people can vote to repeal an unfair law.
repel To force or drive back. The north poles of two magnets repel each other.
expulsion Act of driving out, especially by force The expulsion of the dog from "Doggie School" was unjust.
